Georgeanna Albers Hundley, 97, of Mount Pleasant, SC, entered into eternal rest on March 26, 2021.
Born on September 26, 1923 in Charleston, SC, Georgia was a daughter of the late James Johnson and Victoria Hay Johnson.
A graduate of Murray Vocational School, Georgia enjoyed her life as a Charlestonian, Navy wife and mother of three children. She worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for several local companies, retiring from Carolina Travel in 1997. She enjoyed volunteering with East Cooper Community Outreach (ECCO) and Carolina Hospice Care. She was a charter member and active parishioner at Christ Our King Catholic Church. Her life revolved around her family and she cherished her time with them.
Georgia is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Paul A. Albers, sister June Gilbert and daughter Vickie Albers. She is survived by her sister, Delora Guthke of Charleston and two children: Mikie Frampton (Coby) and Paul Albers, Jr. (Susan), both of Mount Pleasant. She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Kim McManus (Randy), Brent Frampton (Lindsey), Kristi Martin (Henry), Rachel Clark (Brandon), Ashley Dix (Steven), Melissa Ornelas (Michael) and Rebecca Albers; also survived by her seven great-grandchildren, Caroline, Coby, Seth, Kalli, Khloe, Layla and Bristol.
She is preceded in death by her second husband of 13 years, Paul L. Hundley. They are survived by his children Paul H. Hundley, Jr. (Janice), James Hundley (Kathleen), Susan Still (Joe) and Edith Laity (George) and their families.
Visitation with family and friends will be on Monday, March 29 from 5 pm to 7 pm at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant. A Rosary will be prayed at 5 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at Christ Our King Catholic Church, 1122 Russell Drive, Mount Pleasant, 29464.
The burial will immediately follow at Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Rd, Mt Pleasant, SC 29464.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Georgia`s memory may be sent to ECCO or Christ Our King's Senior Ministry.
