George M. Rednour, 71, of Moncks Corner, died January 23, 2015. Born in Cutler, IL, he was the son of Mary Thomas Heinz and the late George T. Rednour and husband to Dorothy Rednour. George joined the Navy after high school, serving during Vietnam. He retired from Alumax after over twenty years. George loved to fish, hunt, woodworking and working in his garden. George will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend to many who knew him. He is survived by his wife of twenty four years, Dorothy Rednour; daughter, Wanda Todd and husband Ronald of Goose Creek; step daughter, Michelle Collins and husband David of Moncks Corner; two step sons, Robert Pilch and wife Tammy of North Charleston and Randy Pilch and wife Nicole of West Ashley; mother, Mary Heinz of North Charleston; two brothers, Kevin Rednour and wife Julie Ann of Eureka, IL and Dane Rednour and wife Bonnie of Eureka, IL; sister, Barbara Livingood of Tucson, AZ. George is also survived by five grandchildren, Danielle, Megan, Tyler, Finley and Henry. He was predeceased by his father and brother, Roy Rednour. Funeral service will be held Monday, January 26, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, GOOSE CREEK CHAPEL. Burial will follow in Dorchester Memory Gardens, Summerville. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 25, 2015 from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
