George Francis Green Sr.

George Francis Green, Sr., 52, of Goose Creek, SC, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2014, in Charleston, SC. George was born on May 2, 1962, the son of James Green and Patsy Buchanan Green of Murray, KY. George loved playing baseball and golf, cooking and reading. He enjoyed cabinetry work. Most of all, he loved his three sons and his dog, Duce. George is preceded in death by his grandparents, Carlton 'Pawsey' and Naomi 'Mawsey' Buchanan. George is survived by his parents, James and Patsy Green of Murray, KY; sons: George Green, Jr., and his wife, Jennie, of Summerville, SC; Shane Green of James Island, SC; and Ryan Green of Frisco, TX; two brothers: Ricky Green, and his wife, Suzie, of Summerville, SC and James F. Green, Jr., and his wife, Amy, of Pine Bush, NY; several nieces and nephews; and his girlfriend, Cathy Hart Blondell of Atlanta, GA. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2014, at 11:30AM at Essex Village Church of Christ, 736 Savage Road, Charleston, SC 29414. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Charleston Animal Society, 2455 Remount Road, North Charleston, SC 29406.
