George Detry Lewis

George Detry Lewis Jr., 73, husband of Hisako Watanabe Lewis, of Goose Creek, SC, died May 2, 2014, at Hospice Center of Hospice of Charleston in Mount Pleasant, SC. Born September 21, 1940 in Washington D.C., he was the son of the late George Lewis and Beatrice Watson Lewis. He served his country proudly for four years in the United States Air Force. He was a retired supervisor with many airlines for over 35 years. He is survived by his wife of 12 years; his step son Masayuki Watanabe and his step daughter Kumi Watanabe; his sons; Mark Lewis and Gene Lewis both of Charleston, SC; One brother Raymond Lewis of Canadys, SC; his Uncle Bunky Lewis of Hananhan, SC. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 from 1-2 pm at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Goose Creek Chapel. Funeral Service will follow at 2 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.
