Gene was the son of the late Wilbur E Verch and Lucille M Williams.
He was preceded in death by his son, Gene Verch, Jr.
Gene is survived by his wife of 59 years, Sharon A Verch, a daughter Susan E Bannish (Sheldon) of Summerville and a son Brian K Verch (Amanda) and Gene, Jr's wife Melissa all of Goose Creek, SC, 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
