Gary Haynes Johnson

Gary Haynes Johnson, 84, of Mt. Pleasant SC, passed away at home on March 5, 2023
surrounded by loved ones. He was born October 14, 1938 to the late William Joseph and Helen
Claire(Roggli) Johnson in Knoxville Tennessee.

Gary is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Sandra Books Johnson, sons Michael and
Steven (Shelley) Johnson, Jason (Hannah) and Jared (Jennifer) Books.
He is predeceased by son, Jon Carrick Johnson.
Dearly loved and missed by grandchildren Cameron (Sarah), Quinton, Jess (DeAnna),
Madeline, Ewan and Abigail Johnson, Josephine and Jackson Books, and great-granddaughter
Zaylee.

Also surviving to cherish his memory, sisters Diane Mrsny, Stephanie Larman (Stuart) Lisa
Johnson, sisters-in-law Deb Hughes and Donna Ryan (Pete), daughters-law Dede Wilkerson,
Teresa Delaney, and a large extended family and dear friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 11,2023 from 4p.m. to 6 p.m. at Mcalister-Smith
