Gary P. Hagadorn

Gary Paul Hagadorn, 80 of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2022.

Born on May 15, 1942 in Hornell, NY was a Son of (the late) Lulu Hagadorn (Van Scoter) and Clifford Hagadorn.

Gary was an extremely loving father whom never let a day pass without sharing his undeniable and unconditional love for his family. Our pride in his service to our great country (1962-1966) as a Naval Corpsman serving the care of many of our US Naval and Marine personnel was unmistakable and so deserved. He cherished his experience.

He graduated with a BS Psychology and Education from Austin Peay State University in 1972 for which he had a full scholarship for his tennis talent. His tennis career was cut short by an eye injury while playing. He started his professional career with teaching elementary school in Port Sulphur, LA and then followed with starting his own security business in Binghamton, NY. The love for people, his customers, and his co-workers drove his dedication and love for his employment which he served full-time at iPoint/TSC until one year ago at the age of 79. 

As they say, he never met a stranger. He had an amazing smile and character that he loved to outwardly share with anyone he encountered.

Gary is preceded in death by Clifford Hagadorn (Father), Lulu Hagadorn (Mother), and David Hagadorn (brother). Gary is survived by Jenifer Hagadorn (Daughter) and Jason Hagadorn (Son).

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 17, 2022 from 11:00 am-1:00 pm at McAlister-Smith Funeral and Cremation, 1520 Rifle Range Road, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464.

Visitation will be held 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at McAlister-Smith Funeral and Cremation, 1520 Rifle Range Road, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464, with the Funeral Service immediately following.
