Gary C. Harvell

Gary Charles Harvell, 64, of Goose Creek, passed away May 15, 2017.
Born in Ridley Park, PA, he was the son of the late Frank and Charlotte Harvell and husband to Luella Harvell. Gary served his country in the United States Navy as an Aviation Electrician for twenty years. He enjoyed playing golf, boating, traveling, restaurants and seafood. Gary traveled to over eighty countries while he was in service and after retirement traveled the country with his family.
He is survived by his wife of forty years, Luella Harvell; son, Greg Harvell and wife Rebecca of Goose Creek; grandson, James Charles Harvell. Mr. Harvell was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Gail Harvell-Rodgers.
The family will received friends on Friday, May 19, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. in MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, GOOSE CREEK CHAPEL. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Mr. Harvell will be laid to rest at sea with Navy honors at a later date.
