Fred Hiroshi Watari, age 78, died September 9, 2015 with his son Kirk Watari and granddaughter, Mikaela Miesbauer, lovingly by his side. Mr. Watari was born July 22, 1937 in Reedley California, to his parents the late Arajiro and Shizuko Watari. Fred was a United States Army Veteran and began his career in Pharmaceutical sales and then transitioned into the AG business working for American Cyanamid selling herbicides and pesticides to farms on the West Coast. He retired from American Cyanamid Corporation in his early 60’s. Fred enjoyed his family, golfing with friends, tending to his garden, reading, and bantering with his neighbors. His family will remember him for his intellect, humility, generosity, humor and his big smile. He is survived by his children, Kirk Watari and Leslie Miesbauer, and grandchildren, Lauren and Mikaela Miesbauer; siblings, Hanaye Renge (Kiyoshi), Kiyoshi Watari (Jeanne), Yuriko Watari, Roy Watari; and many nieces and nephews and their children. Fred is predeceased by his wife, Betty June Watari; and his siblings, Hisaye Korematsu and Makoto Watari. The family will be having a private service.
