Franklin Roosevelt Kirven, 79, of Jedburg, died February 20, 2016. Born in Darlington, SC, he was the son of the late Joshua and Emmie Kirven. Mr. Kirven was an automotive mechanic and certified transmission specialist and owned and operated Kirven Automotive Services. He was a Mason and was a member and past president of Live Oak Hunting Club. Mr. Kirven loved spending his falls and winters hunting and his springs fishing. He loved animals and raised Walker Hounds. Frank will be remembered for showing his family a love for the outdoors and an appreciation for animals. He is survived by his daughters, Cheryl Griffin and husband Mitchell of Pinopolis, Beverly Jarrell and husband Michael of King, NC and Samantha Kirven of Summerville; sons, Ronald Kirven and wife, Norie of Knightsville and Dougie Kirven of New Hope; sisters, Patricia Wilson of Jedburg and Mary Norman of Jedburg; brother, John Bryant of Goose Creek. Frank is also survived by his ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in Summerville Cemetery.
