Frank Julius Bruno, 72, of Summerville, passed away October 15, 2016. Born in Manning, SC, he was the son of the late Jake and Janie Lemon Bruno and husband to Jane Bruno. Frank graduated from Manning Training School and joined the United States Army. He served in the Army from 1963 until 1969, then joined the United States Navy retiring in 1992 as a Gunner’s Mate Guns Petty Officer First Class. After his military service, he received a certificate in Criminal Justice from Central Texas College and worked different jobs while traveling with his wife during her active duty military career. He was an active member and deacon at New Vision Cathedral. He is survived by his wife, Jane Bruno; children, Frank J. Bruno, Jr. of Summerville, Cassandra J. Bruno of Summerville, Kim Bruno Little of Chicago, IL, Wanda Smith of Chicago, IL, Cynthia Douglas and husband Fred of New Haven, CT and Dulche Rae Stewart and husband Justin of Lithia, FL; siblings, Bishop James Burno and wife Eddiesteen, Rabbi General Lee Burno and wife Ceretha, Elect Lady/Pastor Eleanor Stukes and husband Deacon George Stukes and Joan Williams. Frank is also survived by nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Mr. Bruno is predeceased by his parents and four siblings. The family will receive friends Thursday, October 20, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. in MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, GOOSE CREEK CHAPEL. Funeral Service will be held Friday, October 21, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. in New Vision Cathedral, 128 West Hamilton Street, Summerville, SC.
