Frank James Gouchnour, 80, was called home to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 7th ,2022.
Born on January 1st 1942, in Johnstown Pennsylvania, he went on to marry his high school sweetheart, Dottie, before serving in the United States Air Force for 4 years. Shortly after, Frank and Dottie traveled, along with their three small children, to Bogota, Colombia where they served as missionaries for a few years. Once back stateside, Frank continued to hone his art as well as preach the gospel for the remainder of his life. He loved teaching about the Lord and spent his life in service to others. Frank was well known in the Charleston area as a talented sign painter and artist. His work, both spiritual and visual, will leave a legacy that is cherished by all who knew him.
Frank was the son of William Gouchnour and Anne Marchant-Paonessa. He was also a beloved father of 4 daughters, grandfather to 12, and great grandfather to 26.
Frank died peacefully and surrounded by family at his home in Moncks Corner, South Carolina.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Dottie Gouchnour. Brother - Tom Gouchnour. Daughters - Elizabeth Gouchnour, Naomi Gouchnour Simpson (Spouse: Shaun Simpson), Leah Brush (Spouse: Ron Brush), and Donna Cook (Spouse: Joe Cook).
Private graveside service will be held at Whispering Pines Memorial Gardens with a public celebration of life to be planned at a later date.
Flowers can be delivered to McAlister Smith Funeral Home at 869 St James Ave, Goose Creek, SC.
