Floyd Eugene Smith

Floyd Eugene Smith , age 67, of Goose Creek, SC, died Wednesday, June 25, 2014, in Charleston,SC. He was the son of the late Floyd and Lula Smith. Floyd served and retired from the U.S. Navy after a dedicated career of 22 1/2 years. He was a devoted member of the Ladson Baptist Church, enjoyed fishing and spending time with his lovely wife and four sons. He is survived by his wife: Sundru Smith, of Goose Creek, SC, four sons; Dale T. Smith of Marietta, GA, Steve D. Smith of Summerville, SC, David C. Smith of Los Angeles, CA, and Nicholas D. Smith of Goose Creek, SC, two sisters; Kathy Barnett and Mary Knight of Lookout Mtn., GA, one brother; Frank Smith of Chattanooga, TN. and all his grandchildren. The family will receive friends and family on Monday, June 30, 2014 at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, 869 St. James Avenue, Goose Creek, SC 29445 from 5-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at Ladson Baptish Church, 3231 Ladson Road, Ladson, SC 29456. Interment with Military Honors will be at Plantation Memorial Gardens, 2847 S Live Oak Dr, Moncks Corner, SC 29461.
