Felisa Cuvin Ysip

Felisa "Elsa" Cuvin Ysip, 80, of Goose Creek, SC, entered into eternal rest on September 22, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ricardo "Carding" de la Cruz Ysip. Elsa was born on January 14, 1941, in Lucban Quezon, Philippines and was the daughter of the late Ruperto Salvatus Cuvin and Andrea Nada Cuvin.

She graduated high school at Lucban Academy and furthered her education at Polythecnic University of the Philippines. In the Philippines she worked in the offices at Engineering Equipment and Delgado Brothers. Elsa and her husband Carding moved to Goose Creek in 1977. Elsa had a wonderful career at Bank of America for over 30 years. She was a loving and generous woman who was well known for having a smile that could light up any room. She truly was the life of the party. Elsa was an active member with Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and enjoyed praying the Rosary. One of Elsa's hobbies was bowling and occasionally playing bingo for fun. She was well known for her famous banana bread that everyone enjoyed eating. Elsa always made it a point to keep in touch with her loved ones through phone calls or social media.

Elsa leaves behind three children from her marriage to Ricardo: Evelyn Ysip Carter of Goose Creek; Jennifer Ysip Hanakee of Goose Creek, and Jayson Cruz Ysip of Summerville. Elsa is also remembered by her six siblings and her in-laws: Rufino Cuvin (deceased), Johnny Cuvin, Albino Cuvin, Beata Cuvin Hari (deceased), Fernando Cuvin, and Anita Cuvin Sison. And she will be truly missed by her dearest sister and kumare Sally R. Ani. She will also be remembered and missed by all of her nieces, nephews and grandchildren who loved her very much.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 26, 2021 from 6:00PM to 8:00 PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home in Goose Creek, SC. The service will be held at Immaculate Conception Church in Goose Creek, SC, at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 27, 2021.
