Eric Lee Bonam, 45, of Hollywood, SC, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, September 12, 2021, surrounded by his family.
Born on December 08, 1975 in Pensacola, FL, Eric was a son of Gary Lee Bonam and Susan Kay Starks Bonam. He was a beloved brother to David (Lindsay) Bonam and Laura (JP) Polson and a proud uncle to Dexter, Evan, Hadley, and Eli.
Eric graduated from Clemson University in December 2000 with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Marketing after enjoying 7 football seasons there. After graduation, he moved to New York City for five years working in sales at various companies and then moved back to North Augusta, SC where he had gone to high school. Eric also lived in Asheville, NC and Greenville, SC before eventually relocating to the Charleston, SC area where he was the Executive of a chemical company. Throughout his life, Eric never met a stranger anywhere he went. He wouldn't hesitate to strike up a conversation and make you feel like his best friend. Probably why he was the best man in many weddings. Eric would go out of his way to help a friend or make someone smile and his positive attitude and kind heart will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Eric enjoyed watching Clemson sports, riding motorcycles and jet skies, gemology, Star Wars, fishing, spending time with family and friends, and going to the beach, especially Pensacola where he grew up.
Eric is survived by his parents, Gary and Sue Bonam; brother, Dave (Lindsay) Bonam; sister, Laura (JP) Polson; niece and nephews, Dexter, Evan, Hadley and Eli; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his dog, Coco.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, September 27 at the Pelican Watch Pavilion in the Folly Beach County Park from 12-5.
