Eric Christopher Hutson

Eric Christopher Hutson, 37, of Moncks Corner, SC passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024.  

He was born on June 1, 1986 in Atlanta, GA.  He was the son of Dale Barrineau Hutson and Thomas Hutson.

Eric was a loving father, son, and brother.  He was outgoing and a friend to everyone, always there for those in need.  In his free time he enjoyed trips to the beach and hockey games with his son Christopher.  On Sunday, he enjoyed attending church with his grandmother.  He was also a passionate Steelers Fan and never missed a game.  Eric was also a self taught hobbyist on drums and piano.  

Eric was mechanically inclined, a hard and motivated worker.  He had various trade skills and was a valuable addition to all of his skilled work teams over his working years.  

Eric is preceded in death by his grandmother, Julia Hutson and his grandfathers, Marion Hutson, William "Bill" Barrineau, and Robert "Bill" Chandler.

Eric is survived by his son, Christopher James Hutson; his parents; his brother, Jason Hutson; his niece, Jayden Hutson; and his grandmother, Miriam Chandler.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 19, 2024 for a visitation from 2:00pm to 3:00pm followed by the service at 3:00pm.  Both the visitation and the service will be located at McAlister-Smith Funeral and Cremation, 869 St. James Ave., Goose Creek, SC 29445.  The burial will be held at Smyrna United Methodist Church Cemetery, 724 Cypress Gardens Rd., Moncks Corner, SC 29461.
