Elizabeth Rumple

Elizabeth B. Rumple, 83 of James Island, South Carolina, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2022. Born on January 6, 1939 in Goldsboro, NC, she was the daughter of the late Raymond M. and Bessie Palmer Best.

Elizabeth was a graduate of Goldsboro North Carolina High School. She had two years of nurses training in Wilmington, North Carolina. Elizabeth was a homemaker, an avid reader, and loved to write and listen to classical music .

She met her beloved husband, Paul, through a friend, and they were married on March 3, 1959.

Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Brian Nettles.

Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Paul L. Rumple, Sr., of 63 years, son, Paul Larry Rumple Jr. (Mari) and daughter, Kathryn R. Kipp (Doug) of Pooler, GA, one granddaughter, Rebekah Isiabella Rumple of Haiku, HI and two sisters-in-law of Wilmington NC and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at Epworth United Methodist Church, 1540 Camp Road, James Island, SC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Epworth United Methodist Church.
