Elizabeth Rieder

Elizabeth Rieder, 85, of Charleston, SC, died peacefully on Wednesday, March 29, 2023. 

Born on June 25, 1937 in Gloucester City, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Margaret Meehan Rhoda and Frederick Rhoda. 

Elizabeth was a long-time resident of Gloucester City before relocating to Charleston.  She worked for the New Jersey State Department of Transportation as a secretary until her retirement.  Elizabeth was involved in many charitable organizations. She was also an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan and enjoyed reading, movies and cooking. A devoted mother and grandmother, she will be greatly missed by her family.

Besides her parents, Elizabeth is preceded in death by her brother Frederick (“Scrip”) Rhoda, her son George J. Rieder Jr. and grandson, Matthew Emery Sacilowski.

Elizabeth is survived by her daughters, Donna (Rieder) Sacilowski, Margaret Rieder, and Kathy (Rieder) Cohen, her son-in-law, Jeff Cohen, grand daughter, Anne Elizabeth Sacilowski,  and great-grandson, Matthew Emery Sacilowski Jr.
