Eleanor Wright, 81, of Ladson, South Carolina passed away, Wednesday, March 7, 2018. She was born on March 20, 1936 in Savannah, Georgia to Jack Murphy and Patricia (Ambrose) Raffield. She enjoyed her church and spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her son, Melvin Powell (Monica); granddaughter, Mandy McCain, and two grandsons, Perry Powell and Billy McCann (Rachel), two great grandsons and a great granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elton J. Wright Sr.; son, Anthony W. Powell and daughter, Debra J. McCann.

The family will receive friends Thursday, March 15, 2018 from 12:00PM-1:00PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, 869 St. James Ave., Goose Creek, SC 29445. A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 15, 2018 from 1:00PM-2:00PM in the same location. Entombment will follow at Dorchester Memory Gardens, 11000 Dorchester Road, Summerville, SC 29485.
