Eileen McMullen Potts

Eileen “Mickey” Potts, 83, of Goose Creek, passed away to join her husband in eternity on Wednesday, November 1, 2017; All Saints Day. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, and daughter to the late Charles R. McMullen, Anna Garry, and stepfather James Walsh, who raised her from the age of four.
Mickey married the love of her life, Frank Potts, on October 9, 1954, and shared 62 years of marriage. She retired from the Naval Investigative Service as Administrative Support. She was a devout Catholic and enjoyed attending services at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Mickey enjoyed sewing, camping, singing, and spending time with her daughters and grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many.
For all that Mickey was, she is, and will forever more be, she will be loved and missed dearly.
Mickey is preceded in death by her husband, Frank W. Potts, her parents, and four brothers; Charles McMullen, Robert McMullen, Richard McMullen, Fr. James Garry McMullen SJ, and son-in-law, Billy Joe Johnson. She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Johnson of Summerville, Cindy (Gary) Kelley of Goose Creek; granddaughters Jessica (Michael) Linardi of San Antonio, TX, and Shelley Johnson (Larry Schweitzer) of Coral Springs, FL; great-grandsons Jack and Dash Goldberg; great-granddaughter Makenzey Schweitzer; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A visitation will be held on November 7, 2017 at 1:00pm at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, 869 St. James Avenue, Goose Creek, SC 29445. A Service will be held immediately following at 2:00pm in the same location.
