Dr. Madhukar Bandisode

Dr. Madhukar S. Bandisode, age 84, of Martinez, Georgia, passed away on May 24, 2022 in Charleston, South Carolina, in the care of his family. 

Born in India, Madhukar was a graduate of Grant Medical College, University of Bombay.  He moved to the United States in 1971 to serve as a M.D. at the University of Alabama’s Medical Center.   He later settled with his family in Augusta, Georgia in 1975 as the Chief of Intermediate Medicine with the V.A. Medical Center and assistant professor with the Medical College of Georgia. 

Easily approachable and friendly, Madhukar was known for his generosity, good humor, and the gift of a green thumb.  Madhukar is survived by his wife, Shanta, and daughters, Rani and Priya.  The family will hold a private memorial service in Charleston, South Carolina.
