Dorothy Nell Scott

Dorothy Nell Scott, 83, of West Columbia, passed away on December 18, 2024. 

Dorothy “Nell” was born on November 19, 1941 to James Edgar and Mary Metts Adams of Leesville, South Carolina and was a graduate of Gilbert High School. In 1962 she married David Scott of Eastport, Maine, and was happily married for 62 wonderful years.

Nell was known for her warmth, generosity, and loving spirit. Her children and grandchildren all regarded her as the center of their family and the most incredible woman, for which they are all so blessed to have had her in their lives. She was also an active member of her church, The Basilica of St. Peter, for over half a century. 

She is survived by her husband, David, and their three daughters, Teresa Easterly, Sherri (Eddy) Glenn, and Karen (David) Drawdy; grandchildren, Lindsey Glenn, Joshua (Anna) Easterly; and her great granddaughter, Eleanor Easterly. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her grandson Jacob Easterly, brothers Omurl, Melvin, Clyde, J.H, and son-in-law Dean Easterly.
