Dorcas Smith Long

Dorcas Smith Long, 82, of West Columbia, South Carolina, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2023.

Born on August 29, 1941, in Ninety-Six, she was the daughter of the late Rachel Pauline Bryant Smith and Charles Henry Smith.

Dorcas was a member of Cayce United Methodist Church in Cayce.

Besides her parents, Dorcas was preceded in death by her sister Sandra Smith Enos.

Dorcas is survived by her dedicated husband, Russell Long; her daughter, Phaedra McMillian (Jay); son, Russell “Rusty” Long; and grandchildren: Liam McMillian, Adelide McMillian and Adriana Webb; her sisters: Ernestine Bagwell, Shirley Lowe, and Charline Burden; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 2 from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Cayce United Methodist Church, Cayce.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 2, at Cayce United Methodist Church, 1600 12^th Street, Cayce. Burial will follow at Southland Memorial Gardens, 700 W Dunbar Rd, West Columbia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cayce United Methodist Church.
