Donnie Lee Bass, 63, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 22, 2017.
He was born on January 22, 1954 in Florence, SC to the late Thomas and Elouise (Conner) Bass.
Donnie was a dedicated employee of Nucor Steel for over 35 years, served part time at Publix in the produce department and was the owner of Fiddlers Green Pub in Mt. Pleasant, SC. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family and his beloved grandson. Donnie always kept you laughing and telling jokes, even up to the last few days he brought smiles to dear friends. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Mary Lynne Bass, of Mt. Pleasant, SC; daughter, Ashlee Bass Reid (Jason), of Mt. Pleasant, SC; son, Bryan Lee Bass, of Mt. Pleasant, SC; grandson, Jayvion Lamont Reid; and loving family and friends.
The Celebration of Life Services will be Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 5:00pm at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, 1520 Rifle Range Road, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464.
