Donald Adam Henderson

West Columbia, South Carolina - Donald Adam Henderson, 80, of Aiken, passed away on May 1st, 2023.

The son of the late Donald and Ida Henderson, he was born in Bridgeport, CT on Sep. 16, 1942.

Donald was a proud member of the United States Navy, serving nine years during the Vietnam War. Apart from the military, Donald was a field engineer for Perkin-Elmer and retired after thirty years. He was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where he served as an elder.

He loved his family above all else and was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Henderson, and his mother and father.

Survivors include his four children, Russell Henderson (Lisa), of Terrell, NC, Barbara Moore (Mimo), of Wagener, SC, Julie Tyndell (Chris), of Cornelius, NC, and John Henderson (Shannon), of Cornelius, NC. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on May 13th, 2023, 12 o'clock at Mt. Zion Community Cemetery, in Cornelius, North Carolina.
