Donald Edward Vaughn

Donald Edward Vaughn, 70, of Murrells Inlet, SC, died Wednesday, February 28, 2018
Born July 14, 1947 in Murfreesboro, TN to the late E.G. and Katie (Stephens) Vaughn.
Don graduated from Summerville High School and was a reservist in the National Guard. He was a contractor at the beach for the past thirty plus years. He took great pride in his work and it showed. He enjoyed spending his time watching the South Carolina Gamecocks and listening to his favorite bands play in the Inlet. More than anything Don just liked to share a good laugh and have fun with friends and family.
Don is survived by his children, Edward (Katherine) Vaughn of Summerville, SC and Deanna Bailey of Chapin, SC; his grandchildren, Logan Bailey, Abigail, Molly, and Zachary Vaughn; and his loving partner, Carol Mercolini of Murrells Inlet, SC.
He was predeceased by his wife, Deborah Murphy Vaughn and his brother Bobby Vaughn.
A celebration of his life will be Monday, March 5, 2018 at 1:00 PM at McALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, GOOSE CREEK. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the funeral home. A burial will immediately follow at Summerville Cemetery.
