Dianne Parker White, 69, of Charleston, SC, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2016. She was born on Thursday, October 3, 1946 in Charleston, SC, daughter of the late Irma Norton Parker and the late Edward Ellis Parker. Dianne graduated from Garrett High School in 1964, and briefly attended the University of South Carolina. She married Francis White at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, in 1966. She worked for the South Carolina Employment Security Commission for many years, but most of her life was spent as a devoted homemaker and mom. Dianne was a homeroom mom and team mother for her children’s numerous sports teams. She attended St. Joseph Catholic Church with her family, and enjoyed traveling to Clemson football and baseball games with her husband. Her family will remember her as a devoted daughter, wife, Mom and Granny. Dianne is preceded in death by her husband of almost 42 years, Francis Dalton White. She is survived by her two sons: Michael White and his wife, Danielle, of Daniel Island, SC; Jimmy White and his wife, Rebecca, of Mt. Pleasant, SC; daughter, Karen Tucker and her husband, John, of Columbia, SC; eight grandchildren: William, Matthew and Andrew Tucker; Caroline, Hayden, Patricia and Sara Francis White; and Ansley White; three siblings; numerous in-laws; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 17, 2016 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, with a Rosary at 4:30 PM, at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home West Ashley Chapel. A Funeral Service will be held at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home West Ashley Chapel on Monday, July 18, 2016 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in the St. Lawrence Cemetery.
