Diane Celine Fleck-Burnett

Diane Burnett, 72, passed away on March 12 at her home. Diane was born and grew up in Chicago, IL. After remarrying William "Bill" Burnett she lived and worked in Elmhurst, IL. She is survived by her husband; two children from her first marriage, Kelly Fleck and Christopher Fleck of St. Charles and Geneva, IL; two stepchildren, Kimberly Maloney and Chris Burnett, who both reside in Boise, ID; five grandchildren; and her sister Kathy Kowalski of Inverness, IL.

Diane and Bill retired to Kiawah Island, SC and then Johns Island, SC. She was an avid gardener and reader and enjoyed playing golf. She loved the beach, just sitting and reading or going for a long walk. She particularly enjoyed the summers since all four children would visit every year; her sister and her nieces were also frequent visitors.

She will be missed by family and friends in South Carolina and Chicago. No flowers please. Donations to her favorite charities, St. Jude Children's Hospital and the Lowcountry Food Bank would be welcomed.

There will be no services.
