Dennis Patrick Keane

Dennis Patrick Keane, 83, of Goose Creek, passed away August 31, 2014. Born in New York, NY, he was the son of the late Christopher and Mildred Schaefer Keane. Mr. Keane served his country in the United States Navy, submarine service for twenty six years retiring as a Senior Chief. After his military career, he worked for the Office of the U.S. Attorney General Southern District of Florida as the Deputy Admin Officer. Mr. Keane loved golfing and baseball, especially the New York Yankees. He is survived by his beloved dog, Chief Kevin Keane; two daughters, Mary Keane Jenkins of Moncks Corner and Kelly Keane Priest of Goose Creek; brother, Thomas Keane of New York; sister, Kathleen Keane Ribaudo of New York; grandson, Timothy Baker. Mr. Keane is also survived by eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents and his first wife, Jean Keane, and his second wife, Charlotte Keane; and children, Kathleen Keane Kopach, Elizabeth Keane Baker and Mildred Keane Asher Mixon. Funeral service will be held Saturday September 6, 2014 at 3:30 pm at MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, GOOSE CREEK CHAPEL. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 5, 2014 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
