Dee Earley Crosby, of McClellanville, a former television news anchor with WCIV ABC News 4 and WTAT Fox 24 Charleston, died Sunday. She was 60. She was born in Rutherfordton, N.C.. She graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne University with a degree in English and Theater Arts.
She was a reporter, news anchor, and served as a producer-director with the station over her 13 years. For 13 years she also worked as WCSC Channel 5/WTAT 24 as a co-anchor for the "News at 10".
She was preceded in death by E.H. "Buster" Earley, and Nell Parton Earley. Dee leaves behind her two children, Davis and Townsend Crosby. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you kindly consider giving to The Charleston Animal Society at 2455 Remount Rd. North Charleston, SC 29406.
A private memorial service will be conducted in McClellanville.
