Deborah Cook

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Deborah "Debby" Cook, age 73, of Goose Creek, South Carolina. Debby passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Debby was born on March 28, 1951, in Birmingham, Alabama to Albert and Betty Skinner.

All who knew Debby will remember her for her sense of humor, devotion to family and immense kindness. Debby was a loyal Alabama Fan. Roll Tide. She loved her animals deeply and was a fur-Mom to Sadie Mae. Lovingly known as "Dabber", she cared for her treasured granddaughter, Addie, from infancy through after-school care for the last 10 years.

Her spirit lives on in those who loved her most - her devoted husband, Brian Cook; son, Blake Trucks and wife, Rachael; and her cherished grandchildren: Addie, Penelope, Eve, and Brian. She was also a loving stepmother to Jennifer Mayo, Joe Cook (Sarah) and Adam Cook (Heather).

Debby is preceded in death by her son, Phillip Redwine and her parents, Albert Skinner and Betty Benson Skinner.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, February 7, 2025, from 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral & Cremation in Goose Creek. The service will be held at 5:00 PM on Friday, February 7, 2025, at McAlister-Smith Funeral & Cremation at the funeral home, with Pastor Bradley Thomas officiating.
