Mrs. Deborah “Debbie†McNally, surrounded by her family and friends, went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 8, 2016. Debbie was born in Baltimore, Maryland to Joan Norris and the late Jim Norris. She studied at the University of Maryland, College Park and Washington Theological Union. Debbie met her husband Ron, of 38 years, at the University of Maryland. They moved to Charleston six years ago and opened and operated a Bed and Breakfast, Lowcountry Living at its Best, on James Island. Debbie and Ron were blessed with two children, Christopher (Erin) and Rachel (Travis). They were blessed with seven grandchildren; Dylan, Madeline, Memphis, Avery, Jagger, Vera-Mae, and Hayes. Besides her mother, she is survived by her brothers, Jay (Barb, Thomas, and Michael), Roy (Cindy), and Ron (Lorri), her sister Danelle (Charlie, Ethan, and Owen), her brothers in law Michael (Donna and Adam), and Steven (Judy and Lilli). The family will receive friends from 7pm-9pm, Thursday, November 9, 2016, at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home James Island Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am, Friday, November 11, 2016 at Church of the Nativity Catholic Church 1061 Folly Road Charleston, SC 29412. A Rite of Committal will immediately follow at Holy Cross Cemetery at James Island. In support of Breast Cancer Awareness, Debbie requested that everyone wear pink to visitation and/or the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to The Susan G.
