David Anthony Wallace, 74, of Mt. Pleasant, SC died on Saturday August 29, 2015 after a long struggle with Parkinsonism. He was born in Abington, PA on August 8, 1941 to the late William James Wallace and Marie Madeline Pogue. Dave graduated from Father Judge High School and attended Penn State University. He worked in the graphic arts industry for 44 years, most notably as VP of Typographic Operations at Waldman Graphics in Philadelphia and Pennsauken, NJ. He moved to Mt. Pleasant in August of 2000. He loved to travel and traveled extensively on five continents. He was a member of the Dunes West Golf Club where he enjoyed playing golf with “The Geezers.' Dave is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Mira Pinkerton. He is also survived by his daughter Carolyn M. Tantillo, her husband Peter, their children Kevin, Matthew, Ryan, Steven, and Erika of Holland, PA; two sons, David A. Wallace, Jr., his wife Anna Vu, their children Erin, Shannon, Emily, and John of Austin, TX; and son Brian J. Wallace, his wife Renae, and their children Aiden and Peyton of Holland, PA; sisters Betty Pickard of Haven Beach, NJ and Marie Peirce of Port St. Lucie, FL, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother William Wallace and sister Delores Rowe. Lastly, he is survived by his adoring cat, Snickers, who watched over him during his illness. A Funeral Service will be held at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home on Tuesday September 1, 2015 at 2:00 pm with Father Vincent Maroun officiating.
