Daved J. Netti, 68, of North Charleston, SC, passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2017.
He was born on December 25, 1948 in Auburn, NY, son of the late Carolina "Lillian" Piccirillo Netti and the late Sylvester Netti.
Daved was a very quiet person. He enjoyed film processing in his root cellar, made his own telescope, loved riding his bike, and listening to the Beatles. He joined the US Navy at 18 years old, serving during the Vietnam era, and received the National Defense Service Medal. Daved was a wonderful watercolor artist. He painted a sailboat that he named “Ms. Donna”, after his sister. He loved his man cave, where he and Benny would watch movies together. His family will remember his kind-nature and how he loved to reminisce about his favorite aunts, Tess and Ada.
Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his friend, Bernard Myers.
Daved is survived by his sister, Donna Roulin and her husband, Brian, of Rochester, NY; two brothers: Mark Netti and his wife, Luann, and Robert Netti, all of Auburn, NY; three nephews: Mark Netti (Lauren) of Philadelphia, PA; Luke Netti (Emily) of New Jersey and Daniel Netti of Auburn, NY; his best friend of 30 years, Benny Dunn, his wife, Filomena, and their sons, B.J. and James Dunn of James Island, SC; and his friends and co-workers at the Disability Board of Charleston County.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 from 6:00PM - 8:00PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home West Ashley Chapel.
