Darrell Arthur Lill

Darrell Lill, 74, of Moncks Corner, SC, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2024.

Born on October 9, 1949, in Langdon, North Dakota, he was a Son of the late Genevieve Mary Stevens Lill Washebek and Arthur John Lill.

Darrell attended Interstate Business College in Fargo, North Dakota for a short time in 1968 after he graduated. His schooling was interrupted by a draft notice to serve in the military due to the Vietnam war. While preparing for entering the draft, the United States switched to the lottery system. Darrell received a high lottery number and did not have to report to Service. Darrell did not return to college. He spent several years working and living in Devils Lake, North Dakota. Darrell then voluntarily entered the Navy for 4 years. After his Service time, Darrell settled in Moncks Corner South Carolina. For many years he was self-employed with his own trucking company – E Z Trucking and mainly delivered and installed cabinets for residential use. He had retired some years before his death.

Darrell is preceded in death by Elizabeth Ann Lill Craig-Sister, Diana Marie Lill Lanz-Sister, Alex Leo Dettling-Brother-in-law, Bonita Lill-Sister-in-law, Elizabeth Ashley Lill-Niece, Patrick Huck-Nephew.

Darrell is survived by Sandra Dettling-Sister, Kenneth Lill-Brother, Thomas-Brother (Doris) Lill, Rodger Lill-Brother, Michael-Brother (Kris) Lill, Brenda-Sister (Mark) Taylor, Catherine Lill-Sister, John Craig-Brother-in-law, Greg Lanz-Brother-in-law, Greg Lanz-Brother-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. 

The Graveside Service will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., at Plantation Memorial Gardens, 3345 South Live Oak Drive, Moncks Corner, SC 29461.
