Daisy Rodriguez Colón

Daisy R. Colón, 93, of Charleston, SC, widow of the late SGM Miguel A. Colón, transitioned peacefully into eternal rest on Friday, July 26, 2024.

Daisy was born on April 12, 1931 to Ramón Rodriguez and Ulpiana Vazques in Cayey, Puerto Rico and went on to be a military spouse of 40 years across Georgia, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Zweibrücken Germany, Virginia, and Texas. In 1950 she met Miguel and went on to have three children ~ Angel Rafael, Laura, and Wilma; six grandchildren ~ Catherine Michelle, Lisa, Jose, Cheryll Marie, Michelle Ann, and Charles; and thirteen great-grandchildren ~ Sofia, Marissa, Ricky, Robbie, Sawyer, Daisy, Emilia, Justin, Sydney, Larissa, Aubrey, Lidian, and Sadie.

Services will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at 11:00am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 510 St. James Ave., Goose Creek, SC 29445. A private funeral service will be held at Beaufort National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you donate to a cancer or type 1 diabetes supporting charity or research center.
