Craig Baumer

Craig Christopher Baumer, 55 of Charleston, SC, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024.

Born on October 25, 1968, in St Charles, MO, he was the son of the late Peggy Hair Zissette and the late Harry Baumer.

Craig married his wife, Margaret, on September 23, 1995, in Barnwell, SC. He achieved many things throughout his life such as, in high school he received a gold medal in drafting national, and a silver in international, presented by Margaret Thatcher. He was a senior drafting technician at his job, Parker Land Surveying, for 27 years. Before his stroke, Craig helped design Tanger Outlets and Top Golf. Craig was very dedicated and loyal to his family and friends. He loved being outdoors, fishing, cooking BBQ, the beach, camping, and animals, especially his dog, Bella. He enjoyed Jimmy Buffett, classic rock, and country music. He was an avid cruise lover and loved the Caribbean islands. Craig was a dedicated member and an elder in his church, he passed peacefully surrounded by friends and family, holding his wife's and kids' hands.

Craig is survived by Margaret Baumer, his loving wife; Brittany-Lee Baumer, his daughter; and Cody Baumer, his son.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, 28th of February, 2024, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral and Cremation, 2501 Bees Ferry Road in Charleston, South Carolina.

The service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at McAlister-Smith Funeral and Cremation, 2501 Bees Ferry Road in Charleston, South Carolina.
