Coyt Daniel Cochran, Jr., of Lexington, passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023.
Coyt proudly served as a Sergeant in the United States Army. A man of many hobbies, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing poker, and bowling. Among those many hobbies, bowling was his best, as he was awarded many trophies for his skillset. He was a die-hard New Orleans Saints fan and enjoyed watching Sunday night football. Coyt was loved by many and leaves behind many wonderful friends and family.
Survivors include his wife of forty-four years, Aurora Cochran; son, Shannon Daniel Cochran (Shannon), of Lexington; four grandchildren, Zachary Rice, of Lexington, Conner Rice, of Lexington, Hunter Rice, of Eastover, and Mary Grace Cochran, of Lexington; and two great grandchildren, Waylon, and Anna Leigh Rice.
He is preceded in death by his parents Coyt Daniel Cochran, Sr. and Pat Wigham Keel, and a daughter, Sunshine Cochran.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Tommy Thompson, a beloved friend of Coyt who sat with him daily. They would also like to thank Nurse Ben with homecare and VA Doctor Zachary, with the assistance they provided for Coyt.
Revelation 21:4 “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death, mourning, crying, or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
