Corynn Marie Ganley, 66, of Summerville, died Wednesday, April 26, 2017.
She was born on December 3, 1950, in Washington, DC to the late John and L. Maxine (McKenzie) Ganley.
Corynn graduated from Summit High School, Summit, NJ, in 1968 and studied at Albion College in Michigan for two years. She returned to Summit and worked at Kemper Insurance, where she made many lasting friendships. She went back to school and after graduating from Fairleigh Dickenson University, she took a temporary job at Johnson and Johnson which eventually became full time and she was there until her retirement in 2009.
Heading south to get away from the long winters in New Jersey, she settled in Summerville at the Del Webb community in Cane Bay where she started the next chapter of her life. She became involved in many activities there and made many friends. She was a lover of the arts and was a member of the Cane Bay Players and the Sweet Adelines, a nonprofit organization that unites women music lovers from around the world. She enjoyed music, theater, reading, traveling and spending time with her friends.
She is survived by her sister, Sharon Riggs and her husband, Randy, of Murrells Inlet and her beloved cat, Kiera.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Goose Creek Chapel.
