Corey Zachary Skinner

Corey Zachary Skinner was born on February 25th 1994, and was called home to be with his Savior Jesus Christ on January 5th 2024.

Corey was deeply loved by his parents, Crystal and David Flory. He will remain a vibrant light in their lives as the story of Corey and his impact was larger than life.

Early on his love of sports and family was obvious. He loved playing basketball, throwing a football, getting in some baseball, going out fishing, or anywhere he could show off. Corey lived his life with passion and unmatched energy.

Corey joined the Air Force and served with the Security Forces after finishing high school. After his time in the service ended, He found his passion for fitness and quickly made his way into personal training.

Corey’s greatest passion in life was God, family, and others. He spent countless hours mentoring, training, meeting others’ needs, and trying to help them be the best version of themselves.

Corey is preceded in death by Barry Skinner, Larry Skinner, Doris Skinner, CL Skinner, Ann Skinner, Wayne Skinner, James Skinner Sr, Joy Robison (BigMom), and Patricia Quick.  

Corey is survived by his parents, Crystal and David Flory; brothers: Jaydon Skinner, Brandon Flory, Angel Flory; sisters: Ayla Flory, Chyna Skinner, Queen Skinner; and countless family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday January 9th from 6:00 PM - 8:00 pm at McAlister-Smith Funeral & Cremation Mt. Pleasant at 1520 Rifle Range Road, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464.

The Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 pm on Wednesday January 10, 2024, at Seacoast Church Mt. Pleasant Campus, 750 Long Point Road, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464.
