Cleta P Null

Cleta P Null, 88, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at her daughter's home in Moncks Corner, SC. She was a lifelong resident of the St. Louis, Missouri area.

Born on October 25, 1934 in St Louis, MO, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Irma Gulley.

She was united in marriage to Charles A. (Chuck) Null in July 1950. She was a graduate of Newburg High School, Newberg, MO, and the University of Missouri - St. Louis. She was proud of the fact that she earned her bachelor's degree when she was 56 years old.

Cleta was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed helping others, participating in church activities, being involved in politics, and watching the St. Louis Cardinals. She was a long-time St. Louis County Republican Committeewoman. Cleta was the founder of the Adopt-A-Family Christmas Program in Pacific, MO and served as its director for 25 years. She helped thousands of children and families have a wonderful Christmas. In 2008, she was honored as Pacific, Missouri's Citizen of the Year.

Cleta is preceded in death by her parents; Harry and Irma Gulley, her husband, Chuck Null, five brothers; Ben Gulley, Bill Gulley, Eugene Gulley, Oliver Gulley, and Harry Gulley, five sisters; Imogene Ball, Emma Barton, Grace Avery, Betty Wyman and Verna Towell.

She is survived by three children; Bill (Cherie) Null, Michelle (Bob) Ratliff and James (Lisa) Null, two sisters; Myrtle Alexander and Kathy (Larry) Cook, one brother; Kenneth (Nancy Callahan) Gulley, six grandchildren: Cody Null, Keith (Kayla) Null, Kate (Colin Smith) Ratliff, Mike (Lindsay) Ratliff, Lauren (Sean) Krupla, Erika (Logan Gray) Null, and thirteen great-grandchildren; Alexander, David, Cora, Margot, Tyler, Jackson, Riley, Audrey, Heather, Hayes, Elizabeth, Luke, and Ben.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 5 at 11:00 a.m. at the Pea Ridge Cemetery in Doolittle, MO. All family and friends who wish to attend are invited.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Agape Help House of Pacific, 120 Lamar Parkway, Pacific, MO 63069.
