Clara Mae Darnell Smith

Clara Mae Darnell Smith, 67, of Barnwell, SC, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2017. She was born on March 22, 1950 in Bamberg, SC to the late Ben and Clara Darnell.

Clara previously worked with Dixie Narco in Williston and was a former manager of Hardee’s in Bamberg. She also worked as a cashier at Grand Central Station in Denmark before becoming disabled. She never met a stranger, loved her dogs and she absolutely loved and was proud of all of her family members. She will be missed by all.

Clara is survived by her sister, Brenda Darnell as well as her nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 from 12 – 1 PM at Ghents Branch Baptist Church, 1974 Ghents Branch Rd, Denmark, SC 29042.

A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 1 PM at the church with burial in the church cemetery.
