Christopher Adam Holloway, 33, of Ladson SC was called home to Heaven on March 31, 2022. Born on June 27, 1988, in Washington, GA, Chris was the son of Jean Holloway Hanvey and William Hanvey Jr.
Chris served his country through the U.S Army National Guard and his community through his dedicated work with the Charleston Police Department and the North Charleston Police Department. During his early training, he received the J.P Strom award from the South Carolina Police Academy, recognizing him for his academic performance at the Academy. He was also the recipient of several awards and Certificates of Appreciation for his work as both a Military Police Officer and with the police departments he served.
Chris was a loving father who enjoyed spending time with his children whenever possible. They loved playing board games, riding bikes, and going to the playground or trampoline park together. Chris also enjoyed spending time at the beach, riding motorcycles, and traveling. He was a former member of Doomstrikers, a motorcycle club for Law Enforcement and First Responders, a current member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG), and a long-time member of Epworth United Methodist Church. Chris was also an aspiring actor and filmmaker who was working to create his own production company, Hwy 220 Productions. Chris appeared in several movies, such as Halloween, Conrad & Michelle: If Words Could Kill, The Tomorrow War, and Halloween Kills, as well as a variety of television series, such as Army Wives, Mr. Mercedes, Homicide Hunter, The Righteous Gemstones, Reckless, and Outer Banks.
Chris is survived by his four children Aurora, Layla, Eden, and Adriel, his mother Jean Hanvey, father William Hanvey, Jr., brothers Kenny Holloway, Jr. and Austin Blackburn, sister Chrisey Holloway, sister-in-law Shannon Hurley, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins as well as his beloved pet, his German Shepherd, Chance. Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents Doris and Leonard Blackburn and Clara and William Hanvey.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 11, 2022, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at McAlister-Smith Funeral and Cremation, 347 Folly Road, Charleston, SC 29412 followed by a funeral service at 3:00 pm at Epworth United Methodist Church, 1540 Camp Road, Charleston, SC 29412.
