He was predeceased by his parents Charles Edward Rogers, Sr., and Norine Limehouse Rogers, and a brother, Charles Edward Rogers, Jr. He was married to his high school sweetheart, Debbie, for 46 years. Chris grew up in the Riverland Terrace neighborhood and loved to tell stories about his adventures with his friends. He attended James Island High School where he met his forever love. He graduated from Limestone College later in his career and completed his master's degree from Webster University. Soon after retirement, he began a new career as a logistics engineer at the Scientific Research Corporation. His love of photography led him to also start his own business taking nature photographs and portraits.
Chris cherished his Lord, his family, his church, and his friends. He also loved his four-legged babies, Abby, Skylar, Millie, and Toonces. He was a wonderful, kind, and loving husband, son, brother, friend, and uncle. He loved his nephew, Alec, as though he were his own son. Chris had a big, friendly personality and could talk to anyone about anything. His faith, kindness, compassion, and generosity will be what will serve as his legacy.
