Chris Patrick Kendig

Chris Patrick Kendig, a beloved husband, brother-in-law, and friend, passed away on September 10, 2024, in Isle of Palms, South Carolina. Born on February 1, 1955, in Dayton, Ohio, Chris lived a fulfilling and adventurous life that touched the hearts of many.

Chris was the cherished son of Dawson and Patience Manley Kendig, who preceded him in death. Their memory and the values they instilled in him remained a guiding light throughout his life.

A man of many passions, Chris enjoyed traveling with his wife of 40 years, Sandra Ralston to various destinations, making lasting memories and experiencing the beauty the world has to offer. His love for the game of golf brought him joy and camaraderie with many friends. Chris was also an avid collector, with a keen interest in stamps and rare coins, treasures that offered him a window into history and the stories of the world. As we remember Chris, we celebrate a life well-lived, marked by love, curiosity, and the joy he brought to those who knew him. His legacy will continue in the hearts of his loved ones and all who were fortunate enough to have been part of his journey.

Chris is preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife, Sandra Ralston and sister-in-law Sherry Reash.

At Chris's request, funeral services will be private, allowing his close family and friends to honor his memory in an intimate setting.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Chris's memory can be made to the Charleston Animal Society (www.charlestonanimalsociety.org).

Arrangements have been entrusted to McAlister-Smith Funeral and Cremation, Mt. Pleasant, 1520 Rifle Range Road, Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, 29464
