Charles Kenneth Curnick, 74, of Louisville, KY (moved to Charleston, SC 5 years ago), passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2022.
Born on June 24, 1948 in Louisville, KY, he was the son of (the late) Erma Curnick (Fischer) and Kenneth Curnick.
Over his lifetime, he worked as a police officer (U of L), fireman (IH), pipefitter, and maintenance man at Eastern High School (JCPS). He was a volunteer at Hosparus of Louisville after his retirement from JCPS.
He loved working with his horses, woodworking, camping, and riding his motorcycle. In his later years, he switched from motorcycles to little British cars. He was a member of the BSCC (British Sports Car Club of Louisville) and the BCCC (British Car Club of Charleston).
Charles is preceded in death by Kenneth Curnick (father), Erma Curnick (mother) and his son, Charles Jason Curnick.
Charles is survived by his wife of 50 years, Alice Curnick, and daughters Amy Nicole and Celeste Julayne. He also leaves behind 4 grandchildren, Lola, Avery, Chase and Sawyer. All of which, he dearly loved.
A memorial service will be held at St. Gabriel Catholic Church (5505 Bardstown Road Louisville, KY 40291) at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 9th. A luncheon will follow in the parish loft.
