Charles 'Chuck' Jones

Mr. Charles A. Jones, 70 of Goose Creek, SC, husband to Sandy Jones, died on Saturday, January 7, 2017, at Trident Medical Center in Charleston, South Carolina. Born on Tuesday, December 17, 1946 in Cleveland, OH, he was the son of the late Albert Jones and the late Margie Blaha McGinnis. Chuck served in the Air Force and was a proud Vietnam Veteran and was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes. Chuck enjoyed the beach, reading, “oldies music”, and playing golf. He was drawn to the Lowcountry culture, including its rich history, southern food and beautiful landscape. He was a man of incomparable integrity. Chuck loved his family, his country and his God. Besides his wife of 45 years, he is survived by a son, Jesse Jones of Cleveland, OH; his brother, Howard McGinnis of Riverside, CA and his sidekick, Brutus along with many nieces, nephews and extended family. Chuck was predeceased by a son, Jason Jones. A Celebration of his Life will be at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home in Goose Creek. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, January 11, 2017, at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, 869 St. James Avenue, Goose Creek, South Carolina.
