Carol Jo Heath

Carol Heath, 78, of Charleston, South Carolina entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 9, 2024.

Carol was born in Osceola, Iowa, on December 16, 1945, to Boyd Earl Lingle and Jessica Elizabeth Walker. She, with her family, moved to the Charleston area when she was a child, and she often told stories about growing up in Charleston.

All who knew Carol, know how much she loved her family and friends, planting and being outdoors, Connie Francis music, the beach, and the mountains. Carol had a very strong faith and cherished her Bible study time with her dear friend Susan. She loved her furry friends too. All of her pets, through the years, including raccoons and squirrels when she lived on Yonges Island, were treated like loved members of the family; including her cat Midnight, who looked after her as well. 

Carol loved with all her heart, and she will be dearly missed by so many.

Carol is predeceased by the love of her life, her beloved husband, Phil; her parents; and her brothers, Larry Robertson and Joel Robertson, who she spoke of often and missed daily. 

She is survived by her sons Phillip Jason “Bubba” Heath (Becky), and Jamie Heath, granddaughter Rachel, sister, Jane Sports, and brother, Russell Lingle.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 19, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, at McAlister-Smith Funeral & Cremation James Island, 347 Folly Road, Charleston, SC  29412.  Private services will be held at a later date.
