Hollywood - Mr. Calvin John Schuler, 86, of Hollywood, SC passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2015. Calvin was born on July 20, 1928 in New Glarus, WI. He was a Mason for over 60 years, was a longtime member of Fidelity Lodge No. 304 on Johns Island as well as secretary of the Lodge for over quarter of a century. He was Chapter Dad in DeMolay International and mentored young men with the Bethesda Home for Boys. He also worked with Children and Family Services. Calvin’s hobby was collecting pipes and lighters. Calvin is survived by Tonya Howard and Clint Howard, both of Ohio, Jesse Howard of Charleston, his Masonic brothers, the DeMolay boys and extended family and friends. He also leaves behind his beloved Chihuahua Bruiser. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 5, 2015 at 4:00 PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, James Island Chapel. Masonic Rites will be given by Fidelity Lodge No. 304. Memorial donations may be made to Masonic Services Association, 3905 National Drive, Suite 280, Burtonsville, MD 20866.
