Bruce Allen DeVore, born July 15, 1940, passed away from this life on Wednesday, January 24, 2024. 

Bruce served in the United States Marine Corp Reserves and a proud graduate of the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. He loved watching the Cornhusker games whenever on television. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, playing cards with co-workers, friends and family. After a long, successful career in executive management with General Electric and Philips Electronics, Bruce went on to enjoy retirement in Kissimmee Bay, Florida, before living out his final years in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. 

 

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jeri M. DeVore; three daughters: Leslie Dice, Tina Caiazza (Doug) and Lisa Pettit; and one son, Scott DeVore.

 

He was the proud Pop Pop to Shannon DeVore Zimmerman (Ryan), Keith Pettit (Chelsea), Amber Williams (Jordan), Brianna Stickney (Cody), Maressa Dice, Zachary Saw, Marianne Crenshaw (Geoff) and Carmella Caiazza; Great Pop Pop to Reagan, Marlee, Silas, Marshall, Shepard, Bexten, Lukas, Cora, Callahan, and Jessa.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Vern and Mona Large DeVore; stepfather, Glenn Large; sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn and Vic Dormer; two daughters, Donna and Lori DeVore; son, Tom DeVore; and grandson, Thomas DeVore.

Services will be planned at a later date in Knoxville, TN.
